Kinkaku-ji Temple

“Gold on the water”

The garden complex is an excellent example of Muromachi period garden design. The Muromachi period is considered to be a classical age of Japanese garden design. However, it was often hard to get a picture without random people in it because it was so crowded.

There are even students who have to go there to do special assignments. They usually have to get a stamp from the temple and fill out a sheet of paper with questions about the place and it’s past, so even when it isn’t tourist season, there are a lot of people here.
